DESIGN DETAILS CARTRIDGE BLOCK HEAT EXCHANGERS
The cartridge exchanger comprises a cylindrical core block, a steel shell and end covers.
the cylindrical block is drilled with holes for the process fluid and has slots on the shellside for service fluid.
The cartridge block is scaled into the shell with a packed gland at each end.
the end covers are gasketed to the core block using steel pressure plates bolted to the steel shell using spring washers to take up any differential expansion.

All tubular heat exchangers have the following desigh reatures:
1.Floating end arangement
2.Easily removable and covers of single or multipass design
3.Completely removable tube bundle
4.Vertical or horizontal installation
5.Shellside packing easily accessible
6.No gaskets between service and process sides, hence no interleakage
7.Heat transfer areas from 1 to 1300 square metres

BLOCK  TYPE  HEAT  EXCHANGERS
 
These block Heat Exchangers have been specially designed for direct connection to standard glass process piping. They occupy less than a third of a conventional glass exchanger, due to a combination of graphite's high thermal conductivity and the compact design of the unit, achieving the optimum surface area for each standard sizes block.
Due to the high thermal conductivity,low coefficent of expansion and this design,it is not subject to the thermal shock problems often associated with glass.
