NITRIDE BONDED SILICON CARBON BLOCK

With high thermal strength and
conductivity, excellent oxidation resistance, excellent
cryolite melt and liquid aluminum resistance, high resistivity
and low thermal expansion, Si3N4 bonded SiC block has
become the most ideal sidewall lining for aluminum reduction
cell, which can increase the effective volume of reduction
cell, raise the electric load, improve the output and
prolong the service life of reduction cell.
L&T selects high-quality SiC raw-material
and silicon fine powder as starting materials, assisting
with perfect grain size distribution and optimum nitrifying-sintered
processes to produce Si3N4- SiC block, so this block
features good appearance, accurate dimensions, homogenous
